The Bulldog Legacy Award has been established by former Batavia High School football players of the 2017 State Football Championship Team. Our selection committee is grateful for the work ethic the football program has instilled in us. This scholarship is designed to recognize a player with an exceptional work ethic that inspired other players on the football team to be all they can be.
The Bulldog Legacy Award is chosen by a committee independent of BFEE.
The award shall be paid directly to the school the recipients will be attending and is non-renewable. The school may be a college, university, community college, trade, vocational or professional school. Recipients can also be awarded the award money if they plan on joining the military.
A 1985 graduate of Batavia High School, Michael dedicated his life to writing and performing music. Respected by his peers, adored by his fans, and loved dearly by his family, Michael generously shared his musical talents to help countless worthy causes, municipal projects and individuals in need. Taken in the prime of his life, Michael’s memory shall live on through his music and the lives of the people he touched. He truly led a “Big Life.”
The Michael Heaton Memorial Music Scholarship, which includes a full year of private guitar and songwriting lessons and a new guitar, will be awarded annually to the Batavia Jr. High/High School student who demonstrates similar qualities to those which Michael possessed.
The Michael Heaton Memorial Music Scholarship is chosen by a committee independent of BFEE.
