The BPS Hall of Honor Committee is pleased to announce the Hall of Honor Class of 2024. Six graduates were voted into the Hall of Honor based on their achievements, and an employee and friend of BPS101 are being honored for their service to the District.

The purpose of the Hall of Honor for the Batavia Foundation for Educational Excellence and the Batavia Public School District 101 is to recognize and honor graduates, staff members, and community members who have demonstrated excellence in their field and/or commitment of service to District 101. Both Batavia Foundation for Educational Excellence and the Batavia Public Schools intend to honor graduates who have achieved notable success in the fields of academic, business, literary, professional, scientific, medical, the arts, athletics, community service, public service, or service to the country. These graduates will provide positive role models to District 101 students by demonstrating the high caliber of individuals who graduate from BHS. Graduates who have been out of school for fifteen (15) years are eligible for consideration. This honor can be awarded posthumously.
Individuals who graduated from Batavia High School, and who have demonstrated excellence in their field of endeavor and/or outstanding service to District 101—out of school for at least 15 years
Individuals who have demonstrated outstanding service to District 101—worked for District 101 for at least 15 years
Individuals who have demonstrated outstanding, meritorious service to District 101
Nominations may be submitted to the Committee by anyone including Committee members. Nomination materials must include the nomination form, a summary of why the nominee deserves to be recognized, specific evidence that supports the nomination, and can also include references/links to articles, web sites, and other supportive materials. We encourage applicants to provide as much information as possible.
The Hall of Honor Committee shall consider written recommendations for each nominee and, after proper and appropriate discussion, cast their votes for new Hall of Honor Award recipients. Nominees who are not selected will remain on the Hall of Honor ballot for consideration in future years.

On Homecoming Night, Sat., Sept. 19, 2015, Batavia Public School District 101 welcomed 14 individual inductees into its inaugural Hall of Honor at Batavia High School. Here is a video of the event.
During this inaugural Hall of Honor week, Ken Anderson, a BHS alum, 2015 Hall of Honor Inductee, and former NFL player that played in Super Bowl XVI, presented BHS with a Golden Football.
The BPS Hall of Honor was initiated by the Batavia Foundation for Educational Excellence and BPS101 to promote pride in Batavia Public Schools and to honor graduates, faculty, and friends who have made outstanding accomplishments in their communities and personal lives since they have been associated with District 101.
The 2015 BPS Hall of Honor event was also a celebration of the Batavia Foundation’s 30th anniversary.
